As social issues rise - from chickens and homosexuality to taxes and poverty - I wonder how much we look to “Kings” to exercise Authority because we are far too threatened with the Intimacy of the Wise?

Space is uncomfortable because it allows for questions I might not want to ask, or answer, it offers freedom to be creative in ways my clutter kept at bay, it provides an opportunity to be exposed for who I really am which may not jive with who I thought you wanted. 

Getting lost gives plenty of time to explore the extremes in one’s life – be it the big picture that comes in Wide or the little rooms inside a soul...

It was Robert Earl Keen who sang, on his debut album No Kind of Dancer , “I tried hard to tell you I was no kind of dancer,” and I have always felt I was no kind of one either.

Writing may start in a solitary space but it cannot remain there and thrive.

What does 500 years look like for you? How would you create if you approached in these terms? How would the culture around you bob and weave differently with that longer-view?
